Hot Ten Sideshow Alley

Go on a ride or five, buy some food or just play a game or two. This is where all the excitement is happening with all the sideshowadrenalin pumping rides on offer!

With a new year comes a bigger and better Cairns Show!  The Hot Ten Side Show Alley will provide Cairns Show visitors with a whole bunch of rides from your old favourites to the new extreme types!

Animal Highlights


A variety of Cattle breeds will be on display during the Show. Prime Beef can be found across the bridge and for an insight into the beef industries visit the Information Pavilion situated by the pens. Stud and Dairy Cattle is located by the horse stables. Friday will see the chance for the younger generations to showcase their talents in the judging and paraders competitions so please come along and show your support.

Meat Magic's meat_magics

Want to know the finer points of choosing the premium cuts of meat, how to prepare them and excellent recipes for bringing out the best in your meat? Meat Magic presents daily demonstrations, which are informative and very entertaining. Located on the lower level of the De Jarlais Function Centre on the Main Arena side.

Scarecrow Competition.

Make your way to the Horticulture Pavilion to see Scarecrows of all shapes and sizes. Which one do you think is the best? Come along on Friday to find out who the winners are. 

Cairns Post Main Arena Highlights

The Cairns Post Main Arena always guarantees visitors plenty of free entertainment, which keeps them amazed for fireworkshours. 

During the day take a seat and enjoy the many equestrian events. Then from 5pm expect fast, noisy and breathe taking acts from a jam packed Main Arena  program.                                        

Wood chop Competition

A traditional crowd favourite, the Wood Chop competition, continues to attract top notch competitors from around Australia providing entertainment as Axemen demonstrated their precision, power and speed.

Seven Cairns Heritage Park Highlights

The Seven Cairns Heritage Park is a favourite area with families as they are transported back to olden times with animaldemonstrations of little known or forgotten parts of our history. The area includes craftsman and historical displays which run throughout the three days of the Show.                                                

Sevens Cairns Heritage Park has something for everyone, all included in the price of your ticket to the Show. As well as Historical displays, the area also plays host to some of the most popular acts on the show grounds such as the Animal Nursery, Noahs Pig Racing and the Cairns Regional Council Community Stage.


The Cairns Show has several stalls around the grounds with a variety of showbagShowbags on offer. The only hard part will be choosing which one to buy!
